| Obverse description | At the top of the polished field, within a shaped cartouche, appears a bust effigy of Saint Grand Duke Dmitry Donskoy with a halo, rendered in high relief. The central field depicts a dynamic equestrian duel scene with two armored horsemen charging against each other, representing the legendary combat between Alexander Peresvet and Chelubey that preceded the Battle of Kulikovo. In the lower exergue, two symmetrical heraldic shields with crossed weapons flank the base of the cartouche. |
