Obverse description An allegorical figure of Peace seated facing forward in high relief, holding an olive branch in her right hand and resting her left hand upon a shield bearing the Coat of Arms of Coventry, with a cat and elephant as supporters. Behind her, a cityscape featuring the spires of Coventry Cathedral rises across the upper field. The dates 1914 and 1918 flank the shield, with the legend arcing around the lower portion of the medal.
