Reverse description A finely modelled scene in high relief depicting the Pope kneeling and presenting a model of a church to the Christ Child, who is seated on the Virgin Mary's lap, accompanied by attendant ecclesiastical figures and the Star of Bethlehem above, reinterpreting the Adoration of the Magi as an offering of the Church to Christ. The maker's signature LORIOLI appears in the lower left field, with the date 4·6·1·1964 inscribed in the exergue.
