Obverse description Central field features the Collegiate Church of Saint Leodegar in the background, flanked by two patron saints: Saint Leodegar to the left in bishop's mitre and episcopal vestments holding a crosier, with a putto at his feet bearing a drill and palm leaf, and Saint Maurice to the right in full armour holding a lance with banner, with a putto at his feet holding a sword and palm leaf. An ornate cartouche bearing the coat of arms of Lucerne is displayed in the lower centre. The legend and date 1702 appear in the border.
