Reverse description A stylized dove of peace in high relief occupies the center of the field, carrying an olive branch with extended leaves. The legend 'PEKING FEBR. 20th, 1972' curves along the left rim and lower field, while the five-word inscription 'HISTORIC / STEPS / TOWARD / WORLD / PEACE' appears in stacked lines to the right. A small rectangular cartouche with the initials 'NN' in the outline of the state of Nebraska is visible at the lower right.
