Obverse description Five conjoined busts in high relief facing right, depicting the Russian emperors Nicholas II, Alexander III, Alexander II, Nicholas I, and Alexander I in succession. The effigies are framed below by oak branches and at the right by a laurel branch, all rendered in fine sculptural detail against a plain field.

Reverse description The Imperial Russian double-headed eagle in high relief at centre, crowned and bearing a shield with the mounted St. George on its breast, with sceptre and orb in its talons and wings spread. The circular legend arcs around the upper field, with the commemorative dates flanking a star at the bottom.
