Obverse description Right-facing bare-headed bust of Frits Holm in high relief, occupying most of the field. The name legend FRITS to the left and HOLM to the right flank the portrait in large incuse letters along the inner border. The engraver's signature ALBERT BRVCE-JOY FECIT MCMXXI appears in small lettering along the lower field.

Reverse description Central text field enclosed within a beaded circle, bearing a six-line Danish inscription in relief. A rising radiant sun in relief appears at the top above the beaded border. Eight large Chinese characters are arranged in pairs at the four cardinal points outside the beaded circle, reading the title of the Nestorian Stele (大秦景教流行中國碑).
