Reverse description A seated allegorical female figure representing the city of Boulogne, mural-crowned and draped, holds a laurel branch in her left hand and points with her right toward the inscribed date in the field. To her left, sailing ships are visible in the harbour background; at lower left, a lion's head with a cornucopia; below her seat, the coat of arms of Boulogne-sur-Mer in relief; to her right, a large anchor. The circumferential legend arcs across the upper field, and a three-line commemorative inscription appears in the exergue, all within a beaded border.
