Obverse description The field is designed in the style of a philatelic stamp composition, divided into quadrants with perforated borders in relief. The left portion depicts a stylized cosmic scene with swirling solar wind or comet trails, a celestial body, and four-pointed stars. To the right, a circular vignette contains a right-facing bust of cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin in a space helmet. The inscription К ЗВЕЗДАМ '91 appears along the lower field, with the artist's initials А.К. and the mint mark ММД at lower right.
