Obverse description The obverse depicts a detailed high-relief scene of the Magyar conquest of the Carpathian Basin, showing Árpád and his mounted warriors accompanied by a large crowd bearing flags and standards. In the foreground, a kneeling figure touches the ground in a gesture of submission or reverence. The legend MILLECENTENARIUM arcs across the upper field, and the dates 896 - 1996 appear in the lower exergue, with the fineness mark BP (.999) visible at lower left.
