| Obverse description | Conjoined busts of Johann and Adele Medinger facing right in high relief, the husband in the foreground wearing a suit with a small decoration at his lapel, the wife behind wearing a beaded necklace and an ornate headdress. A circular legend runs around the border giving the names and birth dates of both subjects, with the wedding dates 14 April 1845 and 14 April 1895 inscribed in the field to either side of the busts. The engraver's signature JAUNER appears in small letters in the lower right field. |
