Reverse description A standing Barrongo tribesman in high relief, wearing a feathered headdress and loincloth, holding a spear in his right hand and resting his left hand on a decorated oval shield, flanked by tropical vegetation including a palm tree. The circular legend around the border records his death at the hands of the Barrongos after the battle of 27 September 1892, and the field to the right bears the dedication inscription GESTIFTET VON GUIDO V. VOLCKAMER 1913.
