Obverse description The obverse features the Order of Lenin medallion with a portrait of Lenin at center, flanked by crossed torches and oak branches, surmounted by a five-pointed star. Below, the legend ГОРОДУ-ГЕРОЮ СЛАВА! is inscribed in bold relief, with a view of the Peterhof Grand Palace and its formal avenue flanked by colonnaded pavilions in the lower field. The numeral 250 appears in the exergue, and the whole design is encircled by a laurel and oak wreath. The engraver's signature Н.СОКОЛОВ is incuse at the bottom rim.
