Obverse description Central field features an elaborate KKK emblem: a square and compass device enclosing an oval cartouche with the date 1866, surmounted by a crown and flanked by two crossed cannons or swords. Two scrolled banners at left and right bear the motto legends, with the word DUTY inscribed along the lower rim. The whole is set within a milled border.
