Obverse description A relief view of the Kitchener Waterloo Hospital building occupies the central field, flanked by a caduceus symbol at left and a maple leaf sprig at right. The legend arcs around the upper field, with additional commemorative inscriptions in the lower field recording the official opening by the Governor General of Canada on October 3, 1970, and the institution's 75th year of service.
