Obverse description The obverse features a powerful high-relief allegorical composition depicting a bearded elderly male figure emerging from or merging with the trunk and roots of a great tree, his arms outstretched amid rising flames. Hebrew letters appear in the upper field intertwined with the flames and branches, symbolizing destruction and remembrance. A designer's monogram is visible in the lower field near the rim.

Reverse description The reverse bears the bold legend HOLOCAUST prominently at the top within a recessed panel separated by a horizontal bar.
