Obverse description A Roman eagle perched on a fasces extends its wing over a relief map of the Mediterranean and Greek territory, with ATENE inscribed near Greece. A Savoy knot appears in the right field. The legend ROMA at top and DOMA at bottom flank the central design, with the engraver's signature F. GIANNONE in the lower right field.

Reverse description A detailed relief view of the Parthenon on the Acropolis occupies the upper portion of the field, set above a horizontal fasces. Four lines of boldly incuse lettering in the lower field record the commemorative inscription, with the engraver's name LORIOLI visible in the exergue.
