Obverse description The central field depicts the Arch of Titus in high relief, flanked by two roundels: a bust portrait of Emperor Titus on the left and a Judaea Capta coin motif on the right. Below the arch, a relief panel reproduces the famous interior frieze of the Arch of Titus showing Jewish captives carrying the Temple menorah and other spoils of Jerusalem. The engraver's signature P. VINCZE appears in the lower exergue.

Reverse description The reverse field is divided into four quadrants by two intersecting lines, each quadrant depicting a figure engaged in a different pursuit symbolic of Israeli freedom: a worker with a shovel, a scientist or scholar at a laboratory bench, a fencer in action, and a figure reading a book. The legend encircles the field along the rim, and the date 1965 appears at the top. The engraver's signature P. VINCZE is incised at the base.
