| Obverse description | Right-facing bust of Franklin Delano Roosevelt in high relief occupies the central field of this octagonal medallion, with a suspension hole pierced at the top. The legend FRANKLIN DELANO ROOSEVELT arcs along the upper border, flanked by the birth and death dates 1882 and 1945 in the lower right field. A four-line quoted inscription across the lower field reads: "THE ONLY THING WE HAVE TO FEAR IS FEAR ITSELF". |
