Obverse description The full heraldic achievement of the Honourable Society of Cymmrodorion displayed in high relief, featuring a quartered shield bearing four lions passant, surmounted by a helm and a Welsh dragon crest atop a wreath. The dexter supporter is a bishop in full vestments holding a processional cross, and the sinister supporter is a bearded elder figure holding a staff, both standing on a floral ground. A scroll below the shield bears the motto CARED DOETH YR ENCILION. The bilingual legend encircles the field in two concentric arcs.

Below the clouds, a five-line Welsh inscription occupies the lower field. Maker and engraver signatures appear along the lower rim within the wreath.
