| Obverse description | Central oval field bearing the quartered arms of Barcelona (four vertical bars of Aragon alternating with a cross on plain field), set within an oval border carrying the legend in relief. The shield is surmounted by a mural crown, and the whole is flanked by laurel branches tied at the base with a ribbon bow, with the date 1868 inscribed at the foot. A suspension ring is fitted at the top. |
