| Reverse description | Central relief displays the elaborately detailed historical coat of arms of Croatia, consisting of a chequerboard shield supported by flanking figures. Above the shield a marten is depicted atop a rope or wreath, surmounted by the Old Croatian crown. Supporting shields to the left and right bear the coats of arms of Istria (goat) and Bosnia (arm holding a sabre), while three lion heads appear on the lower escutcheon representing Dalmatia. The dates '792' and '1097' appear on either side of the composition, with the copyright notice 'L.B.L. ©1966' and the sculptor's signature 'b. buzan sc.' inscribed in the lower field. |
