Reverse description A detailed relief depiction of the Harris Free Public Library and Museum building in Preston, shown in three-quarter perspective with its prominent Greek Revival colonnade and stepped podium. The building's architectural design fills the central field, with the date SEPT. 5TH 1882 inscribed in the lower exergue. A circular legend occupies the outer border, and a dedicatory inscription arches across the upper inner field. A small suspension hole is pierced at the top.
