Obverse description Frontal elevation of the façade of the Church of Sant'Ignazio di Loyola in high relief, showing two tiers of pilasters, a central portal, lateral domed chapels, and a crowning lantern. The circumferential Latin legend runs along the upper portion of the field, with the date AN·MDCXXVI appearing in the lower exergue area. The medal is bordered by a beaded rim.

Reverse description Plain field bearing a ten-line Latin dedicatory inscription in raised letters, centered within a beaded border. The text records that Cardinal Ludovico Ludovisi, Vice-Chancellor of the Holy Roman Church, erected the temple in honor of Ignatius, whose veneration was decreed by his uncle Pope Gregory XV, in the year 1626.
