Obverse description The obverse features four conjoined busts in high relief: at center, the overlapping effigies of Kaiser Wilhelm II and Emperor Franz Joseph I facing left, flanked to the left by Tsar Ferdinand I of Bulgaria facing right and to the right by Sultan Mohammed V facing left, all set within a rectangular frame. A radiant star appears above the central group, and a fasces entwined with laurel and oak branches is displayed below. The names of the four rulers arc along the upper legend, with the motto MIT VEREINTEN KRÄFTEN inscribed below, and the maker's initials M. & W. ST. in the lower field.

Reverse description The reverse displays a five-line inscription within a large laurel wreath tied at the base with a ribbon bow, listing the Central Powers alliance members and the war dates. The surrounding legend, reading from the lower left to the lower right, names the opposing powers. WELT-KRIEG arcs prominently across the top of the field above the wreath.
