The names of the three rulers are inscribed in the field along the upper border, with the maker's mark visible in the lower left field.

Reverse description Three heraldic shields arranged in a triangular composition in the central field, flanked by an upright sword: the German Imperial Eagle shield at upper left, the Austro-Hungarian double-headed eagle shield at upper right, and the Ottoman crescent and star shield below centre. The dates 1914 and 1915 appear to either side of the lower shield. The design is enclosed within a laurel wreath border, with the legend surrounding in the outer ring.
