Obverse description Left-facing bust of George Washington in 18th-century military uniform with queue hairstyle, in high relief at center. The legend WASHINGTON arcs along the upper rim, flanked by the birth and bicentennial dates 1732 and 1932 in the lower field, with a small heraldic shield at the base. A designer's signature is inscribed in small lettering beneath the truncation.

Reverse description Full-length standing effigy of Liberty facing forward, raising a torch in her left hand and a sword in her right, draped in flowing robes. A bald eagle with spread wings perches atop her head, and a ring of thirteen stars surrounds the upper field. The legend is divided in two parts flanking the central figure in the field.
