Obverse description Conjoined busts of King George V and Queen Mary left, both wearing crowns, in robes and regalia. The names GEORGE V and MARY appear to either side in the field, with the accession year 1910 at lower left and the jubilee year 1935 at lower right. The medal has a suspension hole pierced at the top.

Reverse description The arms of the City of Sheffield displayed centrally, with two armoured figures as supporters to either side, and a helmet and crest above. Scrolls below the supporters bear the inscriptions DEO and PROFICIT, with the motto ADJUVANTE LABOR on a central ribbon. The circular legend SILVER JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS surrounds the upper field, with CITY OF SHEFFIELD and the date 1935 below. A suspension hole is pierced at the top.
