Obverse description Conjoined busts of King George V and Queen Mary in left-facing profile, both crowned, in high relief at the centre of the medal. The legends GEORGE.V. and MARY arc around the inner border. A wide decorative outer border contains the names of the Dominions and Commonwealth nations — SOUTH AFRICA, NEW ZEALAND, NEWFOUNDLAND, INDIA, CANADA, and AUSTRALIA — each flanked by relief panels depicting the respective national animals of those territories.

Two putti crouch at her feet amid bunches of grapes. The legend SILVER JUBILEE arcs across the upper field, with A D and 1935 flanking the central figure.
