Obverse description Conjoined crowned busts of King George V and Queen Mary facing left in high relief, occupying the central field. The names GEORGE.V. and MARY are inscribed in the inner border flanking the effigies. A wide outer border is divided into decorative panels bearing the names of the Dominions — AUSTRALIA, CANADA, INDIA, NEWFOUNDLAND, NEW ZEALAND, and SOUTH AFRICA — each accompanied by a relief depiction of the respective national animal or emblematic creature.

Reverse description A standing allegorical figure of Peace faces the viewer at centre, holding a dove aloft in her right hand, with two putti at her feet amid fruiting foliage.
