Reverse description The entire reverse field is occupied by a multi-line dedicatory inscription in Latin script, recording the founding and consecration of the chapel, set in varying letter sizes with key names and titles emphasised in larger relief lettering. The architect's name appears prominently at the foot of the field.

THE FIRST STONE WAS LAID THE XXVIII DAY OF AUGUST IN THE SAME YEAR BY THE VENERABLE R F ONSLOW . M.A. ARCHDEACON OF THE DIOCESE AND VICAR OF KIDDERMINSTER. THE CHAPEL AND BURIAL GROUND WERE CONSECRATED THE XIII DAY OF SEPTEMBER AD . MDCCCXXIV. BY THE RIGHT REVEREND F H W CORNEWALL . DD. LORD BISHOP OF WORCESTER. THE EXPENCE OF ERECTING THIS CHAPEL WAS DEFRAYED PART-LY BY A GRANT FROM PARLIAMENT UNDER ACTS PASSED IN THE 58 & 59 YEARS OF GEORGE 3 & PARTLY BY A VOLUNTARY SUBSCRIPTION OF 2000L FROM THE INHABITANTS OF THE TOWN AND NEIGHBOURHOOD OF KIDDERMINSTER IT CONTAINS 2000 SITTINGS OF WHICH 1200 ARE APPROPRIATED TO THE ACCOMMODATION OF THE POOR & IT IS BUILT UPON A SITE WHICH TOGETHER WITH A SPACIOUS BURIAL GROUND ADJOINING WAS PROVIDED AT THE EXPENCE OF THE PARISH FRANCIS GOODWIN ARCHITECT
