Reverse description The star badge of the Order of the Thistle occupies the upper centre of the field, featuring a multi-pointed rayed star with a central circular medallion bearing a thistle and the motto NEMO ME IMPUNE LACESSIT. Below the star, an open wreath composed of a rose, shamrock, and thistle arranged symmetrically frames the lower field, symbolising England, Ireland, and Scotland respectively. The circumferential legend runs around the border.
