Reverse description A large closed wreath composed of oak branches with acorns encircles a central inscription panel listing key dates in Wellington's career. Eight ribbons interwoven through the wreath bear the names of his major military victories: WATERLOO, SERINGAPAT[AM], ASSYE, TALAVERA, BADAJOZ, SALAMANCA, VITTORIA, and TOULOUSE.
