Reverse description A complex allegorical scene in high relief depicting a winged angel supporting the kneeling, semi-draped figure of Sir John Moore, while Fame flies above blowing a trumpet and holding a laurel wreath over his head. To the left stands Britannia with a spear and lion at her feet; to the right a draped female figure, identified as Francia, holds a helmet and shield bearing the Union flag. A small battle scene appears in the right background. The engraver's initials P.W. appear at lower right. The commemorative date inscription appears in the lower exergue area.
