Reverse description A helmeted allegorical female figure, personifying Art or Minerva, is seated left in the field, holding the Irish crowned harp shield in her left hand and a stylus or pen in her right. Books, scrolls, and a lyre are strewn at her feet, with scientific instruments to the right and a ruined tower to the left. The engraver's signature MOSSOP. P appears at the base of the central scene, and the date and institution inscription occupy the lower exergue.
