Obverse description The Speaker of the Irish Parliament placing a cap of liberty upon Hibernia, accompanied by allegorical figures of Industry and Law standing to the left; Fame flies above bearing scrolls with inscriptions. In the exergue, a vulture and wolf are depicted in low relief. The medal is fitted with a suspension loop at the top and bears a circular Latin legend around the rim.
