Obverse description Central field features the royal armorial supporters — a crowned lion rampant to the left and a unicorn rampant to the right — flanking a shield bearing an inverted French fleur-de-lis, symbolising French defeat, with the legend PERFIDIA below. Surrounding the central device, multiple scroll-shaped banners in relief name the British victories of 1759 with their commanders and dates. The lower portion bears the inscription AUSP · GEO · II · PR · MI and the date MDCCLIX.
