Obverse description Two facing busts in high relief, placed vis-à-vis within ornamental frames: Frederick William, Crown Prince of Prussia (left, bare-headed, facing right) and Victoria, Princess Royal of Great Britain (right, facing left). A winged angel with a radiant crown stands between and above them, her outstretched arms resting on the two portrait frames. Below, a decorative pedestal bears the combined heraldic shields of England and Prussia. The legend curves around the upper field, and maker's signatures appear in the lower exergue.

Reverse description A richly detailed allegorical scene set aboard a galley at sea, with a river god reclining beneath the prow. At centre, a veiled princess (Victoria) is escorted by an armoured prince (Frederick William) and presented to a helmeted female figure (Germania), who extends her hand in welcome. To the left, a helmeted warrior (St. George) stands guard; to the right, another helmeted female figure (Britannia) holding a spear observes the scene. An eagle is visible at lower right. The legend SALVE arches across the upper field, and the designer's signature appears in the lower exergue.
