Obverse description A winged allegorical figure, arms outstretched and holding a laurel wreath aloft in the right hand while the left arm cradles a cornucopia spilling its bounty over the shoreline below, set against a radiant sunburst. A sailing ship appears in the left field over the sea, and the figure stands upon a rocky coastal foreground. The encircling legend is separated from the design by a beaded border.

Reverse description Four circular medallions, each bearing a coat of arms and identified by a ribbon label — "CAPE COLONY" (top), "TRANSVAAL" (left), "ORANGE FREE STATE" (right), and "NATAL" (bottom) — arranged around a central imperial crown in high relief. The date "31 Mei" and "1910" flank the Cape Colony arms at centre. The inner design is enclosed by a rope border tied at the foot, with the Dutch legend encircling the outer field.
