Surrounding the shield are the four national floral emblems: rose, thistle, shamrock, and fleur-de-lis. The engraver's signature E. MONTI SCULP. and S. JOHNSON MP. INC. appear in the lower field. The legend arcs across the upper and lower periphery with the coronation date in Roman numerals.
