Reverse description Two heraldic shields — one representing the British colonies and one representing Great Britain — are joined at centre by a pair of clasped hands in relief, symbolising imperial unity. A royal crown surmounts the conjoined shields, flanked by floral and foliate branches including thistle, rose, shamrock, and olive. A scroll beneath the shields bears the motto GOD SAVE THE KING, and a circular legend around the border identifies Edward VII and his titles.
