Reverse description The arms of Penge Urban District Council — a shield bearing a rearing horse, flanked by oak branches with acorns — occupy the upper field, with two scrolls below bearing the name BRYCE GRANT ESQ J.P. CHAIRMAN. A multi-line inscription in the lower field records the purpose of the medal. The circular legend URBAN DISTRICT COUNCIL OF PENGE surrounds the whole, with a five-pointed star at the base, all within a beaded border.
