Obverse description Facing bust effigy of Edward, Prince of Wales, with short hair, occupying the majority of the field. The portrait is rendered in high relief with no legend, the plain field framed by a raised rim. A suspension loop is integral to the top of the medal.

Reverse description The reverse bears a multi-line inscription filling the central field, with the issuing body's name arranged as a circular legend around the periphery. A small floral ornament appears at the bottom of the field, and decorative rule separators divide sections of the text. The maker's name Guttuzo & Piana is engraved in small letters along the lower rim.
