| Obverse description | The celebrated VOC cipher monogram — the conjoined letters V, O, and C — occupies the central field, rendered in bold relief. The monogram is framed within a wreath of oak branches bearing leaves and acorns, extending symmetrically to either side. A small six-petalled flower or rosette ornament appears above the monogram at the top of the wreath. The overall composition is clean and heraldic in character, with no peripheral legend on this face. |

| Reverse description | The crowned coat of arms of Holland — displaying a rampant lion on a shield surmounted by a count's crown with three floral finials — is prominently displayed in the central field. The date 1662 appears in large numerals below the shield in the lower field, referencing the VOC's presence at Teowan (Fort Zeelandia, Taiwan). The circular legend VERENIGDE OOST-INDISCHE COMPAGNIE runs along the upper periphery, while the place name TEOWAN is inscribed along the lower periphery, flanked by small rosette stops.
