Reverse description The reverse bears a five-line Latin memorial inscription in the field recording the death of Petrus Elvius of Uppsala, secretary of the Royal Academy, who died on 27 September 1749, followed by the epitaph CUIUS VITA BREVIS MEMORIA PERENNIS. Below the inscription, a decorative motif features a burning lamp flanked by acanthus scrolls in relief, all within a reeded border.
