| Obverse description | The crowned cipher of King Christian V dominates the center of the field, surmounted by radiating rays emanating from the Hebrew Tetragrammaton (YHWH) at the top, surrounded by four lines of curved Latin legend. To the left, an arm emerging from clouds bears the inscription DIES SALUTIS, while to the right a group of eight figures with wreaths and crowns is accompanied by the inscription DICENT POSTERIS. Below the monogram, the Corona Navalis (Roman naval crown) is depicted flanked by extensive Latin text in the lower field describing the three principal Danish naval victories, concluding with CORONA HAEC COMPARATA EST. |
