Obverse description Conjoined busts of King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra, both crowned and facing right, in high relief. The engraver's signature E. FUCHS and date 1901 appear in the lower left field, with the maker's name ELKINGTON along the lower rim. The encircling legend names both sovereigns.

Reverse description Britannia seated facing right, resting her hand upon a heraldic shield bearing the quartered royal arms, with the gothic towers of Westminster Abbey rising prominently in the right background.
