Obverse description Central design features four heraldic shields arranged in a cross pattern, each bearing a distinct emblem in relief: a classical temple portico (top), a trophy cup (left), theatrical comedy and tragedy masks (right), and crossed swords (bottom). Two ornate sceptres cross diagonally through the centre of the composition, with a crown surmounting the uppermost shield. The encircling legend reads ORBIS TERRARUM HISTORIAE CULTURAE ET ARTIS along the periphery of the field.
