| Obverse description | The central field features the arms of the City of London — a shield bearing a cross and sword — encircled by a beaded border and a laurel wreath in high relief. Surrounding this central device is a broad band displaying twelve heraldic shields of London livery companies, each separated by Tudor roses and interspersed with oak and laurel sprays, filling the entire field to the rim. |
