Obverse description The brass centre features a shield bearing the legend ГОРОД ВОИНСКОЙ СЛАВЫ (City of Military Glory), surrounded by laurel branches, flanked on either side by artillery pieces, surmounted by a aircraft in flight, and supported below by two tanks. The legend КОЛПИНО appears in relief along the upper edge of the copper-nickel ring, which is decorated with an ornamental foliate border.
